Drum­martin Coun­try Mar­ket (9km out the Bal­lina road from Tub­ber­curry, on right be­sides Joe Dan’s Pub) is open ev­ery Satur­day, 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. They have a cou­ple of ex­cit­ing work­shops com­ing up for the next cou­ple of Satur­days, firstly on Novem­ber 18 Christ­mas cards and on Novem­ber 25 mak­ing dec­o­ra­tions with wicker hoops all to pre­pare for the festive sea­son.

Come along and join in the fes­tiv­i­ties at Drum­martin Coun­try Mar­ket on Satur­day and see their range of home baked goods, free range eggs, or­ganic dex­ter beef, or­ganic lamb and or­ganic veg­eta­bles by Crim­lin Farm, plants, wood­turned prod­ucts, bas­kets and many other crafts from knit­ted to printed. Also they have a won­der­ful cof­fee shop for tea, cof­fee and cakes. Look for­ward to see­ing you there.


Ba­sic Com­puter classes will be­gin on Tues­day, Novem­ber 14, from 4.15 p.m. to 6.15 p.m. at St At­tracta’s CS, Tub­ber­curry – places are very limited. The team ap­peals to all Busi­nesses to pro­mote the raf­fle and en­cour­age max­i­mum sales. The an­nual run­ning costs of the lights is ap­prox. €5,000 and we are this year faced with an ad­di­tional cost of in­stalling a new in­fra­struc­ture/ up­grad­ing sys­tem to ac­com­mo­date the lights to a RECI ap­proved stan­dard.

The sched­uled nights over the next 10 days are this evening (Wed­nes­day the eighth) at 6.30 p.m. at the Cres­cent and Tues­day and Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 14 and 15. It takes ap­prox­i­mately 500 vol­un­tary man hours to erect and take down the lights, thus help would greatly be ap­pre­ci­ated.
