COMPUTER CLASSES

DEAR SANTA

Have you got a little someone who would like to receive a personal letter from the man in red himself this December? Una Bhan Craft Shop has establishe­d a direct line to Santa Claus and has arranged for him to reply to children’s letters.

Your child can write their letter to Santa and post it in the ‘Special Santa Box’ in the Una Bhan Craft Shop, €5 per child (to cover admin charges – no stamp required), then leave the rest to us.

Make sure your child includes their full name, address, age and special requests for Christmas and include a mention of any brothers, sisters or special friends so the reply can be really personal. We will make sure that Santa gets to read each letter and write a personal letter back, which will be posted directly to the child. Santa’s Letter Service will up till Saturday, December 16.

SALE OF WORKS

The church hall, Boyle will be holding their sale of Works on Friday, December 1, at 7.30 p.m. Sale include: Work, Country Produce, White Elephant, Books, cake and bottle stall, Hoopla and tea.

CHRISTMAS FAIR/MARKET

Plans are well progressed for this year’s Christmas Outdoor Market in the grounds of King House and Craft Fair in King House, Boyle. PIANO PRACTICE/EXAMS

The Royal Academy of music will hold their Piano Exams in King House, Boyle on November 27 28 and 29, also on December 4 5 and six, Anyone wishing to avail of piano practice, can book a practice session for Saturday, November 18, and Saturday, November 25, please ring 071 9663242.

Expression­s of interest were sought from community centres in Co Sligo with Bunninadde­n the only one to respond. The applicatio­n was one of nine for the entire country to be successful in obtaining funding. Through the Sligo Sports and Recreation Partnershi­p funding of €48,703 was secured for sport and physical activity projects. Such funding comes through the Dormant Accounts Fund.

The objective of the community sports hubs is to bring community people and groups interested in promoting sports participat­ion together to plan, co-ordinate, and deliver sports activities for people of all ages in the community to get involved in and engage in a more active and healthier lifestyle.
