DRAMA PRODUCTION

Rehearsals are now in full swing for the Skreen-Dromard Drama Group’s production which will take place in the community centre, Skreen on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, January 12, 13 and 14. This hilarious comedy play For Better For Worse was written by renowned Playwright Jimmy Keary. Doors will open at 7.30 p.m. and the comedy commences at 8 p.m. A great night’s entertainm­ent is promised so come along and enjoy.

A Community Transforma­tion programme is commencing in the community centre Skreen on Monday, January 15. Registrati­on will take place on the night from 7.45 p.m. to 8 p.m. or ring Anne Marie at 087 6649635 to book your place. A combinatio­n of Circuit Training and Couch to 5k. is offered. If you would like to take part ring Anne Marie and it can then be discussed which program suits your requiremen­ts.

Beltra ICA have produced a calendar for 2018 marking their 90 years in existence. The calendar is on sale locally.

SCHOOLS SHOWS

Well done to the children of High Park National School, who provided Carol Singing entertainm­ent in the Quayside Shopping Centre before Christmas – raising much needed funds for the St Vincent de Paul Society Well done also to the school on their presentati­on of the Wizard of Oz in the community centre Skreen just before their Christmas break.

Well done also to the pupils of Ballinlig National School on their Christmas Nativity presentati­on in Dromard Church.

DIAMOND LADIES LUNCH

Sincere thanks to all who supported in any way the recently held Diamond Ladies Lunch in the Diamond Coast Hotel Enniscrone. A total of €21,067 was raised for SHOUT (Sligo Hospital Oncology Unit Trust)
