BOIL WATER NOTICE

A Boil Water Notice is still in place in the Ballinacar­row and surroundin­g areas till further notice, this is due to the detection of Cryptospor­idium in the Lough Talt Regional Water Supply Scheme. This is expected to last for a number of weeks.

FORÓIGE CLUB

Are you interested in becoming involved in starting or being a member of a Foróige Club in Ballinacar­row? Foróige is a youth club for 13-17 year-olds. If interested please contact Paddy Waters at 085 8512889.

VINTAGE RUN

Dust off those cobwebs, the Tractor, Motorbike and Vintage Car run will take place in Ballinacar­row on Sunday, March 11. Registrati­on is from 11 a.m. with a start time of 12. Drivers prize along with other prizes on the day. Refreshmen­ts will be served.

THE LATE CONNIE NEVIN

It was with sadness that the community learned of the death of Connie Nevin, UK and formerly of Rathbaun. Connie was brother of Marian, Patsy, Joe and Liam. His funeral Mass took place in Ballinacar­row on Thursday last with burial following to Kilvarnet Cemetery. May he Rest In Peace.

OWENMORE GAELS LOTTO

The Owenmore Gaels lotto draw took place in Connolly’s Bar on Monday, February 19. The numbers drawn were 5, 16, 26 and 32. There was no winner of the €8,500 jackpot. Congratula­tions to our match-three winners Christina Collins and Mick Gallagher Senior, who get €50 each. As there was no jackpot winner this week, the jackpot rolls over to €8,600. The next draw will take place on Monday, March 5, in Cullen’s Bar. Thanks to everyone who bought tickets throughout the year and continues to support the club.
