Dervish sign with American label Rounder Records

Der vish, dubbed an “icon of Irish music” by the BBC, has signed with American l abel Rounder Records, part of the worldwide Concorde Music Group. The band, which has been a vital part of Ireland’s traditional music scene since 1989, is presently in the studio putting the finishing touches on their fir st album of new material in fi ve years.

For this project, the band, whose recordings and dazzling li ve concerts have earned a devoted following on both sides of the Atlantic, has enlisted a remarkable array of guest vocalists, including Andrea Corr (the Corrs), Rhiannon Giddens, Vince Gill, Brendan Gleeson, David Gray, Steve Earle, and Imelda May. More guests will be announced in the coming weeks.
