The Drawer Boy

The scheduled performance of ‘The Drawer Boy’ by Beezneez which was due to take place l ast Thursday night has been rescheduled and will now take place on March 28th.

Written by Michael Healey and set on a remote Canadian farm, in it s premiere year, The Drawer Boy won ever y theatrical award available to it in Canada and Beezneez bring the fir st Irish touring production of the play to The Hawks Well Theatre, where their work has become hugely popular over the years.

The Drawer Boy replays the adventures of a young actor from a Toronto theatre group who visits the rural Ontario home of t wo elderly bachelor farmers to “research” farm life for a new play. In doing so, he demonstrates the way in which a collective creation appropriated the li ves of it s subjects and changed their own interpretation of it.

The Drawer Boy promises to be an evening of l aughter and tears as this funny and moving play reveals it self and this production fall s easily into the unmissable categor y.
