Field Club’s journal launch

THE launch of the popular Sligo Field Club Journal for 2017 takes place at Liber bookshop, O’Connell Street on Friday at 6.30pm.

The publication will be launched by County Librarian, Donal Tinney.

It contains a host of interesting articles and features including contributions from Martin A. Timoney, Don Cotton, Michael Bell and Joanne Banks.

It also includes an obituary to the late Sligo businessman, Tony Toher.

Sligo Field Club has been in existence for 72 years and arranges field outings in Spring and Summer with monthly lectures from September to May.

The journal costs €15 and is the third volume.
