Strong performances from North Sligo AC in Bundoran

THERE were some very good performances from North Sligo athletes in the Bundoran Road Races at the weekend.Eamon McAndrew finished 1st in the over 40 age group in the 5k, Eamon Murphy won the over 50 category and David McCullagh set a big PB when finishing 2nd in the senior me’ns category. Alan Wallace finished 3rd in the over 40 category in the 10k, Edel Oates finished 113 out of the six hundred plus runners and John Croghan set a big PB when running 61 minutes 34 seconds for the 10k. Catherine Lipsett was the first of the North Sligo runners to finish in the 10mile in 77minutes 48seconds,Alison O’Sullivan was next in 78minutes 55seconds. Ciara Kelly, Marie Foran, Helen Kelly, Fiona Lenehan and Clodagh Quinn all ran well in the 10mile race.
