Kearns and Lynch strike as IT Sligo ladies take Lydon Plate

IT Sligo ladies’ team followed in the footsteps of their male counterparts on Friday afternoon as they beat Maynooth University in Limerick to claim the WSCAI Intervarsities Lydon Plate.

Rachel Kearns and Amber Lynch were on target for the Sligo side who did well to deal with early pressure. Both sides struck the woodwork early on before Sligo pulled away before the break.
