LOTTO DRAW

The Geevagh Community Resource lotto draw was held in Conlon’s Bar on Saturday, March 3, for a jackpot of €2,000. The numbers drawn were 3, 12, 17 and 26. There was no winner. The next draw for a jackpot of €2,100 will be held on Saturday, March 10, in Killoran’s Bar. The winners of the €20 prizes were Gerry McManus, Geevagh; Lorcan Higgins, Geevagh; Peter O’Rourke, Geevagh; Brid Cunnane, Geevagh and Mona Conlon, Geevagh.

GLEANN ICA

The next guild meeting takes place on this Tuesday, March 13, at 8 p.m. and new members are always welcome. On Monday, March 26, there is an Easter Flower Arranging event with Angela East in Gleann Hall at 8 p.m.

TABLE QUIZ

A table quiz will be held in Paddy’s Bar on March 16 in aid of the Coola astroturf project. This event is being promoted by team Tom O’Reilly and team Peter Flynn and your support will be much appreciated. There will be a raffle and spot prizes on the night and entry for a team of four is €20. It is also likely that there will be some good fun involved. Why not come along and kick off the bank holiday weekend with a bit of fun.

EVENTS CANCELLED

We were very lucky in this area that storm Emma didn’t vent her anger on us like on the other side of the country. However, because of the red warning many events were cancelled or postponed. One such postponement was the GAA dinner dance which was to be held in Kilronan Castle on Friday, March 4, This has now been rearranged for Friday, April 20, in the castle.
