WEDDING DRESS FESTIVAL

Manorhamilton will be the venue for what will surely be an interesting new and novel festival event this August when many visitors are expected to visit the town. A Wedding Dress Festival that will also include Christening Robes will take place in Manorhamilton Church of Ireland over the August public holiday weekend from Friday, August 3, till Monday, August 6. Regarding Manorhamilton’s Wedding Dress Festival a spokesperson said: ‘ We would also like to ask if anyone knows of or have contacts with people who might lend their wedding dresses or family christening robes or items connected with same to be exhibited over the weekend.

‘Ideally, we are looking for dresses over the century. The dresses will be displayed throughout the church along with pictures of the day if they are available of the bride wearing the dress and likewise with the christening robes.’

Anyone who has a wedding dress or christening robe to lend for exhibition in what will be Manorhamilton’s first ever Wedding Dress Festival is asked to email manorhamiltongroup@ gmail.com, please.
