AGRI FEST
An exciting and interesting event takes place this Saturday evening under the auspices of Tubbercurry GAA Club calling all farmers and those even vaguely interested in the farming business.
Come along to ‘ The future farming in the west’ showcase on this Saturday, April 14, from 6 p.m. in St Brigid’s Hall, Tubbercurry.
With 30+ stalls exhibiting from local and nationwide business, together with keynote speakers on the topic of ‘what the future of farming holds in the West of Ireland’. Stalls to include Aurivo, Progressive Genetics, FDB Insurance and more.

We are delighted to announce IFA president Joe Healy will be our keynote speaker at Agri Fest in Tubbercurry on April 14. Guest Other speakers include Mr Des Morrison, chairman ICMSA Livestock Committee (Topics: Beef/ Dairy enterprises and Climate change); Dr Justin McDonagh, Aurivo (Topics: Animal Nutrition and Farm Finance); Mr Brian Reidy, dairy farmer from Tubbercurry; plus a number of other specialist speakers.
This is an ideal opportunity to come along to mix and meet fellow farmers to discuss the topics, issues and problems of today in the light of the ongoing fodder crisis.
DIGITAL SKILLS
Are you interested in learning how to do basic tasks on the internet? Co-Ordinated by Sligo Leader Partnership Co. Ltd., a 10-hour course will take place over five two-hourly sessions in centres across Co. Sligo, and costs €25 which is payable on registration day. TWINNING GROUP
Tubbercurry Twinning Group is planning a trip to Cutigliano in the Tuscany region of Italy from May 8 to May 13. A group from Tubbercurry’s Twinning town Viarmes in France will be joining with the Tubbercurry group.
The local group will be travelling from Dublin to Pisa and onward then to Cutigliano, and will be staying in a local hotel. Some suggestions for activities while there, are, Forest walks, an urban hike in the city of Lucca, trip to Chianti and visit a winery, trip to cheese making dairy or visit olive oil company.

IRISH SUMMER SCHOOL
Irish summer courses will take place in Banada during the summer. Junior cert course will take place July 23 to July 27 and leaving cert course will take place July 30 to August 3. Call or text Siobhán for further details at 087 4510572.
