SAMARITANS FUNDRAISER

With the help of Sintillate, the team at Faint Sligo, Cormac Carroll (providing Funktion One and light), Darragh & Ian and all the DJs will be playing at a special event on April 15 th. They will be hosting a fundraiser for Sligo Samaritans in hon- our of their friend Jimmy Loughlin who recently passed away tragically.

Faint Sligo said: “Jimmy was a friendly kind hearted person who was also passionate about music and everything that went with it. Every conversation always ended up getting us really excited about shows we were working on and acts that were coming.

“Jimmy was always found up the front at Faint shows. Until not long ago, after getting accustomed to playing music he found himself behind decks in the loft with Darragh McMahon for their first club gig. He would never let you forget how grateful he was because that’s the kind of person Jimmy was.

“Jimmy was a huge support to us, a friend and will be missed sorely at future events but this one will be held in Jimmy’s Name and for a great cause with 100% of ticket revenue being donated to Sligo Samaritans. To people who even half knew Jimmy they would know this is what he would of wanted.

“Samaritans is a registered charity aimed at providing emotional support to anyone in emotional distress, struggling to cope, or at risk of suicide throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland.

“This event will be €7 with an optional donation welcomed.”
