Just the start of exciting times ahead says Mcloughlin
FINE Gael TD Tony McLoughlin says the setting up by a US company in Sligo is just the start of exciting times ahead for the county and the North West.
“I want to wish LiveTiles, the IDA and all the agencies involved in this announcement all the best with their development of this AI Innovation Centre in the ‘Land of Hearts Desire’.
“I am very confident that, with the renewed focus on the border region and the North West in particular by the IDA, as announced by Minister Humphreys, that this announcement today is just the start of exciting times ahead for
Sligo and the North West” concluded McLoughlin.
Deputy McLoughlin stated, “this announcement by ‘LiveTiles’s Co-founders Karl Redenbach ([pictured) and Peter Nguyen-Brown, who I had the pleasure of meeting last month in Dublin with Minister Heather Humphreys, is a major boost for Sligo and for the entire North West Region.
“I say this because, this new development in Sligo will be the first of its kind to be developed in Ireland and I have no doubt that the company will thrive and prosper here in Sligo, aided in no small way by our rich talent pool being developed at IT Sligo. This is a very exciting time for the people of Sligo and for the North West as a whole, as we begin a new phase of economic development here. “As a public representative for this region, it is very encouraging to see a US company of this stature establish its base in Sligo and also to hear its representatives say that the are excited about the new up and coming technology scene developing in Sligo and that the reasons for investing is because they want to be a part of it.
