Castlerea Mart Market Report
BIGGER numbers of stock presented for sale this week and trade remained firm for most categories of stock. Quality store heifer were in strong demand as were the weanling bulls and weanling heifers. Good demand was evident for the quality store cows while the forward short keep lots were improved in price. The calf ring reported a good clearance with some strong prices paid for the continental lots while breeding stock continue to rise in price.

A Dairy dispersal sale reported 100% clearance with milkers making from €1160 to €1620 per head and dairy replacement heifers making from €820 to €860 per head.
