Castlerea Mart market report
900 CATTLE presented for sale on Thursday last. A strong trade prevailed for all the quality continental store cattle on offer with plainer quality lots similar in price to last week. The weanling trade boosted by buyers sourcing stock for the Turkish market recorded some very fancy prices while the Dry Cow remained a strong trade also especially for the forward lots. Breeding stock reported a good clearance while the calf trade remains strong despite lesser numbers on offer this week.

All sales commence @ 11 AM with 3 rings in operation. Sellers are advised to have stock penned before 10.30 AM in order to facilitate viewing prior to sale.
