TIDY TOWNS COMPETITION
This is adjudication time for the Tidy Towns competition – Collooney will be judged any day in the next week or so. Please be mindful of this and we would really appreciate if people and businesses could tidy up around their own homes or shops.
A flyer will be sent around the town to homes and businesses about this. We appreciate your support in keeping our town tidy.
YOUNG EXPLORERS
Congratulations to all the children starting ‘Big School’ in September. If you need childcare for your child we at Young Explorers offer a range of services. Our Breakfast club starts from 7 a.m. and we stay open till 7 p.m. We serve a hot meal every afternoon.
We are running a summer camp with lots of fun and activities for all children aged between 4-12 from June 25 to August 24 We are also currently taking applications for preschool 2018. SUMMER CAMPS
Tír na nÓg Community Childcare have summer camps running from July 2 to August 24 on a weekly basis. Activities include nature walks, barbecue’s, camping, treasure hunt, summer bingo, teddy bears picnic, science projects, baking, quizzes, sports day, disco art and crafts and much more. Computer courses: continue at the Teeling Centre fullltime 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday. Basic course for beginners Tuesdays 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. for six weeks €25.
Weight Watchers: Every Friday 9.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.
Zumba: Every Wednesday 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Fitness Class: Every Mon/ Tues/Wed/Thursday 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. Classes well attended by male and female.
Volleyball: Every Friday 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Additional players required.
Speech and Drama: Tutor required for children six to 12 years. Phone 071 9167113.
Breast Check: The Teeling Centre has granted permission for locating this facility on site.
Drawing Class: Every Tuesday 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. come along – bring a friend.
Other Classes: Art – Saturday 9.30 a.m. to midday; Music – Tuesday 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Kung Fu – Wednesday 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Boxercise and TRX classes continue every Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Collooney Parish Hall. Collooney Kickboxing Club classes every Monday and Friday in the Parish Hall. New members welcome.
