SYMPATHY

Sympathy is extended to son Martin and daughter Teresa on the death of their mother Marie Mullaney, Carrowhubb­ock North, Enniscrone, Co Sligo. Sympathy also to in laws, grandchild­ren, great grandchild­ren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Removal took place from McGowan’s Funeral Home; Ballina on Thursday, June 7, to the Church of Our Lady Assumed into Heaven, Enniscrone. Burial took place Friday after 11 a.m. Mass to St Patrick’s Cemetery Kilglass. May she rest in peace.

21ST BIRTHDAY

Congratula­tions to Neil Byrne son of Jimmy and Maureen Byrne of Main Street, Enniscrone, who celebrated his 21st birthday on Sunday, June 10. Neil was joined by family and friends in Gilroy’s Bar to mark the occasion.

CULLEENS NS

Congratula­tions to pupils of St Joseph’s NS Culleens, Aishling Egan, Alina Moran, Dylan Hanley and Joseph O’Kane, who made their Confirmati­on on May 27 in Kilglass church.

St Joseph’s NS Culleens are celebratin­g 50 years in September we would love if you had any old photos, documents or other informatio­n about the school that you can bring to the school where they can be scanned and returned to you.

TIDY TOWNS

Many thanks for last Sundays church gate collection of €375, which was up on last year and much appreciate­d. In preparatio­n for the national judging of Ireland’s tidy town happening any time over the two weeks starting June16th, there will be fence painting Tuesday, June 12 (meet Hollow car park 7 p.m.) and a street clean on Thursday, June 14 (meet church car park 7 p.m. with brushes/spades)

ENNISCRONE SHOW

FUND RAISING EVENT

Rathlee National School will hold a mid-summer Fun/Run/ Walk on Saturday, June 16. The run will start at 2 p.m. from Brownes of Pullaheene­y. Adults €10, children under-10 – €5. Please come out and support this fun event for the upkeep of Rathlee National School.

‘DESIGN A BAG’

There will be ‘Design a Bag’ workshops for national school age children in the Enniscrone Library on Friday, June 22. BLOTTO DRAW

There was no winner of the €2,200 jackpot when the blotto draw took place in the Pilot Bar on Saturday night last. numbers drawn were 10, 20 and 40. €25 winners were Paul Sweeney, Mack and Kathryn, Marie McGrath, Marina Conway. Draw will take place in Scott’s Pub on Sunday, June 10, and the jackpot will be €2,400. Note: The blotto will be held on Sunday nights during the summer.

SAFE PASS

There will be a Safe Pass vourse in the Diamond Coast Hotel, Enniscrone June 20 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Contact Gregory O’Brien at 087 6347707.

WALKING CLUB

The walk on Saturday, June 16, is the Belderrig Costal Walk. The level is moderate, the terrain is open mountain/track, and length is four hours.
