USC abolition

Fianna Fáil Cllr Seamus Kilgannon has called on the Minister for Finance to start doing away with the controversial Universal Social Charge (USC) that was brought in during the recession in 2011.

“It’s a ver y difficult tax on a l ot of people,” he told the meeting.

He was supported by FF Cllr Tom MacSharr y and FG Cllr Sinead Maguire.
