Charging e-cars

The Council has agreed to call on the ESB to increase the number of electric charging points throughout Sligo.

SF Cllr Chris MacManus tabled the motion. There are currently si x electric car charging points around Sligo.

Council Chief Executive Ciarán Hayes said the Council would be l ooking at including charging points in supermarkets and other developments in the future. ESB has given no indication to the Council of any future plans for more e-Carcharging points here.
