Recycling workshops need to be advertised more

Fine Gael Councillor Sinead Maguire has asked the Council to increase their advertising budget for recycling workshops.

It’s after she asked the Council to run workshops on the new recycling requirements and was told they had already run 18 such workshops since last February.

“That wasn’t evident from the questions people asked me,” she told the meeting.

Several more workshops are planned as part of a National Programme to promote recent changes to recycling requirements. Cllr Maguire welcomed the Council’s response but said most people weren’t aware of the workshops.
