Ladies set to play Longford on Sunday

THE upcoming TG4 Ladies All-Ireland Football Championsh­ips were launched recently in Croke Park.

Noelle Gormley, Sligo captain was there along with fellow inter-county players.

Sligo play Longford this Sunday, July 15th in Strokestow­n.

That game has a throw-in time of 3pm.

On Sunday, 29th July in the TG4 All Ireland Intermedia­te Championsh­ip Round 3, Sligo will play Laois.

That game is being held in Kinnegad and has a throw-in time of 2pm.

Sligo had to make do without 16 players this year due to injuries, people travelling and also a number of retirement­s from inter-county football.

Paddy Henry’s side were beaten by an experience­d Roscommon in the Connacht final.
