ROVERS SUMMER CAMPS BEGIN
THERE has been huge demand with bookings for the Sligo Rovers summer camps so far, with children registering from all counties in Ireland and as far away the UK and Spain. The camps start at 10.30am each morning and finishes at 3pm daily.
There is also an optional breakfast club available from 8.30am each day, which has proven to be hugely popular. The Sligo Champion will be visiting the camps each week for pictures and action shots, as hundreds of children descend on The Showgrounds for a summer feast of football. Camp co-ordinator, Shane Crossan, said: “I am delighted to have The Sligo Champion on board once again as our sponsor for the 2018 summer camps.
“Their support of the kids camps and the club as a whole has proven to be invaluable over the years and I am very excited about the nine weeks of summer camps ahead. It’s fantastic to see all of the kids out enjoying themselves week after week playing a sport that they love. To have such activity in The Showgrounds is a credit to everyone involved at the club, with Sligo Rovers continuing to be the focal point of football in the region”.
The camps run for nine consecutive weeks finishing up on August 31st.
