FÉILE PEILE NA NÓG

Congratula­tions to Owenmore Gaels under-14 boys who were the shield winners at the Féile Peile na nÓg in Louth last weekend.

The team of Matthew Hunt, Patrick O’Connor, Mark Anderson, Kyle Mullen, Cian Foran, Aaron Mullen, Killian Barrett, Dylan Clarke, Patrick Irwin, Dillon Walsh, Ryan McMorrow, Daire Callaghan, Darragh Sweeney, Cormac Nellany, Conor Sweeney, Michael Currid, Robert Callaghan and Ryan Sweeney is managed by Gary Mullen and Garrett Lavin.

The boys were greeted on their return home at the clubhouse in Connolly Park on Sunday evening last. Thanks to everybody who travelled in great numbers over the weekend and again to congratula­te the boys on their return.

Special thank you to the sponsors Stephen Mullen Haulage and Distributi­on Ltd. who sponsored tops for the entire team and management. Clayton Hotel, Sligo sponsored gear bags for the boys, Avenue Mould, Sligo contribute­d towards tee-shirts for the squad and Total Produce, Sligo sponsored the boys with much needed fuel over the weekend in the form of healthy fruit snacks. They have done their club and county proud.

CEMETERY MASS

The annual cemetery Mass will take place in Kilvarnet Cemetery on Wednesday, August 1, at 8 p.m. and in St Nathy’s, cemetery, Collooney, on Friday, August 3, at 8 p.m.

people are asked to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity as a number of break-ins have occurred in the area recently in both homes and cars.

CHURCH RENOVATION

Renovation works has commenced on the church roof and for the next number of weeks Mass will take place in Ballinacar­row Community Centre.
