7’S BLITZ

The fourth annual Michael Cawley Sligo 7’s Memorial Blitz will take place on Saturday, July 21. Sligo Ladies’ football community will once again gather at Castleconn­or GAA pitch to remember a stalwart of ladies’ GAA Michael Cawley.

The Michael Cawley Sligo 7’s in aid of Croi, the West of Ireland Cardiac foundation is a blitz event for ladies’ Gaelic teams across Sligo and Mayo. The Cawley family would again like to express their sincere gratitude to Castleconn­or GAA club, Sligo ladies’ GAA and all those who helped out, participat­ed in and supported the blitz to date.

WEDDING BELLS

Congratula­tions to Daniel O’Hara, Ballymeene­y, and Deborah Kelly, Templeboy, who were married on Saturday, June 30, in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Templeboy. The reception was held in the Diamond Coast Hotel, Enniscrone.

MONSTER BINGO

Easkey Monster Bingo will be held in the Diamond Coast Hotel, Enniscrone on Sunday, July 15, at 3 p.m.

WELLBEING OPEN DAY

The Wellbeing open day in Kilglass House, Walled Garden and Woodland will take place on Saturday, July 14, from midday to 3 p.m.

A celebratio­n of the positive things in life... homeopathy, acupunctur­e, yoga, wellbeing, reflexolog­y, pilates, ancient Chinese massage, Rinka for kids, woodland walks and fun games, organic veg growing and much more. Come along and see the completed work in the garden – our Wall of Hope, Darkness to light botanical project and our beehive project.

HERITAGE TRAIL

West Sligo Heritage Trail is a two-hour or full day bus trip of Sligo/Mayo and takes place on Saturdays, in July and August. The tour will take you along the Wild Atlantic Way and include many Historical Sites of interest. Tour departs from the community centre in Easkey. CHURCH GATE COLLECTION

West Sligo Family Resource Centre will hold a church gate collection on July 14 and 15 at all churches in West Sligo. Your support would be appreciate­d.

ARTS/CRAFTS EXHIBITION

An exhibition of arts and crafts will be held in Easkey Community Centre for July and August. Centre is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Thursday. Weekends by appointmen­t only at 096 49020 or 087 6186866.

CEMETERY MASS

The annual cemetery Mass will be held in Roslea on Sunday, August 5, at 7 p.m.

4-MILE ROAD RACE

The Tireragh AC 4-mile road race will take place on Friday, July 13 at 7.30 p.m. Registrati­on in Skreen-Dromard Community Centre from 6 p.m. Cost €10. This event is AAI permitted and chip timed.

WATER SAFETY WEEK

Aughris Swim Safety and Rescue Water Safety week takes place from Sunday, July 22, to Friday, July 27.

LOTTO

There was no winner of the jackpot in the Easkey lotto draw on June 29. Numbers drawn were 7, 23, 34 and 35. €25 winners: Eileen Doherty, Mary weir (snr), Nora Forde, Martina Reilly, The two Tuff Yokes. Promoter’s prize: Fiona Curley. Next jackpot €1,700 and the draw will take place at the bingo in the community centre at 8.30 on Friday night.

The 50/50 draw envelopes are now on sale in shops, last week’s winner was Thomas Murray.
