The day saw golf clubs across Roscommon, Sligo and Mayo tee off to compete for the chance to play in St Andrew’s Scotland and win the prestigious trophy.
Sligo winners, Darragh Loftus and Joe Hussey from Strandhill Golf Club are pictured above before the final of the NCBI Specsavers HolmPatrick Cup. In total, eight teams from across Sligo, Mayo and Roscommon competed on the day with Strandhill Golf Club winning the Sligo final, Ballaghaderreen Golf Club winning the Roscommon final, and Castlebar Golf Club winning the Mayo final.
The NCBI Specsavers HolmPatrick Cup has seen GUI-affiliated golf courses across the country hold qualifying tournaments from local to county level. Now, these winners are competing in the regional finals to compete for a place at the final.
The four provincial winners will play at the final, which is hosted this October at St Andrew’s Links in Scotland.
