SOCIAL DANCE
The August Social Dance in the Skreen-Dromard Community Centre will take place on Saturday, August 25, music for dancing will be supplied by Ally Harron and Marian Curry. Everyone welcome.
107TH BELTRA SHOW
The 107th Beltra Show will take place on Satruday September 1 in Beltra Hall and grounds. There are classes and Competitions to suit everyone with the all-Ireland Gun Dog Champion Final Novelty Dog show Sheep judging Poultry Home produce arts and Crafts Photography Flowers and Vegetables Children’s classes Bonny Baby Fancy Dress Irish dancing display Jiving competition Best dressed Lady and Gent Bouncy Castle and lots more entertainment.
Exhibits can be entered on the Friday night before the show or on the morning of the show till 9.30 a.m. Entry to show grounds is €5 per person for an afternoon of fun and chat. Enquiries to 087 9331082.

SELF DEFENCE CLASS
A once off two-hour Self Defence class will be held in Skreen-Dromard Community Centre on Thursday, September 6, from 7 p.m. This Defence Class is suitable for anyone from 12 years onwards. The cost for adults is €20 and €15 for Youths. Ring Aidan at Krav Maga at 087 6695056 for more details.
The class covers introduction to striking punching kicking release from chokes from front and behind release from wrist grabs bear hugs hair pull shirt grabs and basic knife treats, A great class to learn basic self defence moves for all ages. You are asked to wear loose clothes and bring a drink.
FUNDRAISER
Members of the Skreen-Dromard Community will be visiting houses in the local area selling tickets for the Skreen-Dromard Fuel Raffle Fundraiser over the coming weeks. Your support will be deeply appreciated.
The Fuel Raffle tickets are now on sale in local shops and at the community centre. The cost is €5 per ticket or three tickets for €10. The prizes include a 13x7 foot trailer of firewood, 500 litres of kerosene 20 bags of smokeless coal and lots more.
