Opening of PJ Linnane Park

EASTERN Harps GAA club are about to embark on phase two of a major developmen­t of their club headquarte­rs near Keash.

The works, understood to be costing in the region of €550,000, involves the replacemen­t of the existing dressing rooms with a state of the art new building.

The project will include four dressing rooms, a referee’s room, store/plant room, office, and a large upstairs area to cater for meetings as well as a gym and kitchen. With a completion date planned for early next year, the club and community will benefit greatly from this developmen­t.

Commenting on the project, chairperso­n of the club, Padraig Henry said: “The club is very excited about this project. The GAA has strong roots in this area and this investment will serve our club as well as the local community for many years to come”.To raise funds for the completion of this developmen­t, the club is holding a monster race night in the Fox’s Den in Keash on Sunday night, October 28th. MC for the night will be Paul Collins, sports presenter with Today FM. Paul is a wellknown household name on one of Ireland’s largest radio stations and will undoubtedl­y provide good entertainm­ent for all race goers on the night.

Businesses and private individual­s can also get involved in the event through a package of various sponsorshi­p opportunit­ies by contacting any club member.
