Bal­ly­mote Bridge Club will re­sume play on Mon­day, Septem­ber 17, at 7.30 p.m. in the Pas­toral Cen­tre.


Bal­ly­mote Ladybirds will re­sume on Mon­day, Septem­ber 17, at 6.15 p.m. in the Pas­toral Cen­tre. Girls aged five to seven years wel­come.


Bal­ly­mote North West Hospice Sup­port Group will be host­ing their an­nual tea or cof­fee and cake sale morn­ing on Fri­day, Septem­ber 21, on the Top of the Rock Bal­ly­mote and as in former years we are look­ing for all our won­der­ful Bak­ers to get their bak­ing trays and tins out and pro­vide us with a flourish of all sorts of con­fec­tionery for this great oc­ca­sion.

So come on all Bak­ers and get bak­ing as Hospice Cof­fee/Tea morn­ing is very near. Re­mem­ber ev­ery euro counts so please help by bak­ing a cake or sup­port­ing us on the day to main­tain our ex­cel­lent Hospice Cen­tre and Ser­vices lo­cally.


Celtic Tenor Paul By­rom will per­form in the Cole­man Mu­sic Cen­tre, Gur­teen on Septem­ber 22 at 8.30 p.m. His tal­ent as a singer has taken him far and wide, and some of the many high­lights in­clude per­form­ing for dig­ni­taries such as Former Ir­ish pres­i­dent’s Mary McAleese and Mary Robin­son and most re­cently for United States pres­i­dent, Barack Obama. On Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 28, at 8.30 p.m. Men Of the West – Pat Coyne, Stephen Do­herty and David Doocey per­form in the Cole­man Mu­sic Cen­tre, Gur­teen. Men Of the West – As the names sug­gests, this trio hail from the west. Pat Coyne from Maam val­ley in Con­nemara, is a driv­ing force on gui­tar and renowned for his pow­er­ful songs, singing a mix of bal­lads and songs from across the At­lantic.
