THE DEEPWATER RAMBLER
Hawk’s Well Theatre will stage a unique piece of theatre, titled The Deepwater Rambler at Sligo Harbour on Sunday the 14th of October. Celebrating the rich heritage of Sligo’s docklands, this new play has been written by actor, writer and director, Bob Kelly; author of previous productions ‘Bless the Mark’ and ‘The Big Wall’ written during his role in recent years as theatre artist in residence. SEA FOOD FUNDRAISER
The volunteer crew of RNLI Sligo Bay lifeboat will be hosting a seafood fundraiser at The Strand Bar, Strandhill on the 12th October from 8pm. The crew will serve you a delicious chowder followed by seafood platter and a glass of wine. All the money raised on the night goes back to the local station to help train and kit out the crew.

One of Ireland’s finest, Seamie O’Dowd’s musical career has seen him progress through the ranks of the Sligo traditional Irish, blues, folk and rock scenes to being an extensively travelled, experienced and much sought after musician, singer and producer. LILLIES LATINO NIGHT
The increasingly popular Lillies Latino night is coming up on Thursday October 11th. There will be a huge selection of world music styles from Salsa, Bachata, Mambo, Boogaloo, Afro Cuban sounds, Afrobeat, Raggaton and more. The event kicks off from 9pm.

DEIRDRE O’KANE
Comedian Deirdre O’Kane returns to the Hawk’s Well Theatre on Friday, October 12th with her new hilarious stand-up show, ‘A Line of O’Kane’. Deirdre has really hit her stride; footloose from a glittering turn on Dancing with the Stars and revelling in her return to stand-up, this is Deirdre at her hilarious best in a straight-talking look at twelve frantic months in the life of this tango-tripping, family-minding, telly-making, house-moving, comedy dynamo. Tickets for this event are €20. All tickets will have a €1 Development Fee surcharge.

NAVÁ AT THE MODEL
The Model welcomes back Navá, who enthralled audiences during their previous Sligo performances. The band is comprised of folk/ bluegrass musicians Paddy Kiernan and Niall Hughes, as well as Iranian born brothers Shahab and Shayan Coohe, and their music is every bit as intriguing as it sounds. The Persian/Irish quartet embark on their first Irish nationwide tour this October, performing in counties Dublin, Belfast, Clare, Cork, Mayo, Sligo and Galway. The band will be performing material from their 2017 release ‘Tapestry’ as well as new material. €15 / €12 conc.

Expect sparks to fly when West Kerry accordianist and singer, Seamus Begley, the quintessential Irish musician known for his sharp wit joins forces with Sligo fiddler Oisin Mac Diarmada, founder of noted group, Teada, and the award-winning California dancer/pianist, Samantha Harvey at the Hawk’s Well this Thursday from 8pm.

Comics Workbook is a weekly comics workshop organised by Pulled in collaboration with Niall Breen which continues into the Autumn and Winter. THE SNAIL AND THE WHALE
A wonderful theatre show for children stops off at the Hawk’s Well Theatre on Tuesday the 9th and Wednesday the 10th of October. The show was created in 2012 and has toured to the USA (including Broadway), Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia (including Sydney Opera House) and now comes to Sligo.
