SYMPATHY

Sympathy is extended to the daughter Mary, sons Robert and Michael Carragarry, on the death of their father Martin (Marty) Rogan Carragarry, Enniscrone. Sympathy also to his son-in-law Eugene, daughters-in-law Majella and Marguerite, sister Alice (London), grandchild­ren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Removal took place from McGowan’s funeral home on Wednesday, October 17, to St Joseph’s Church Castleconn­or. Burial took place on Thursday after 11 a.m. Mass to St Patrick’s cemetery, Kilglass. May he rest in peace.

HISTORY GROUP

Castleconn­or History Group are hosting a Lecture on the History, Archaeolog­y, Geography and Heritage of Tireragh. Lecture delivered by Martin Wilson the president of Sligo Field Club. Venue: Castleconn­or Community Centre on November 2 at 8 p.m. Admission €5 (light refreshmen­ts served)

FUNDRAISER

There will be a 25 Card Drive in the Village Tavern, Bonniconlo­n, on Thursday, October 25, in aid of the centre for the Unemployed, Ballina. €500 in Prize Money first Prize €300, second prize €150, third Prize €50. Spot Prizes and raffle. Tickets €10 and game commences at 9 p.m. Tickets available from the centre Tel: 096 70885.

Results for October 13: jackpot €17,200: Numbers drawn were 11, 22, 24 and 37. No jackpot winner; the three €50 winners were John Flynn, Gerard O’Regan and Aisling O’Hara. Next week’s jackpot €17,200.
