TURAS MÓR TIRERAGH

A bus tour of local historical sites is being organised on Monday, October 29. The bus leaves Easkey Community Centre at 2 p.m. Refreshmen­ts will be served afterwards as well as lots of Irish Music, dance and singing. TIRERAGH HISTORY

Sligo Field Club, exploring Tireragh, the history, archaeolog­y, geography and heritage, a lecture will be delivered by Martin Wilson, president of Sligo Field Club in Castleconn­or Community Centre on November 2 at 8 p.m. Admission is €5 with refreshmen­ts.

ANNIE KATE LANGAN R.I.P.

The death has taken place of Annie Kate Langan (née Weir), Caltra, Culleens peacefully at the North West Hospice, Sligo. Her funeral took place from her daughter Delia’s residence in Carns to St James Church, Easkey for Mass of the Resurrecti­on followed by burial in Roslea Cemetry. Sympathy is extended to her sons, daughters, inlaws, grandchild­ren, great grandchild­ren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

RACE NIGHT

FANCY DRESS DISCO

The Little Monsters Fancy Dress Disco takes place in Dromore West Community Centre on Wednesday, October 31, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Entry €3 per child and monster raffle. Proceeds to Dromore West playground.

STRICTLY COME DANCING

St Farnan’s GAA Club are holding a Strictly Come Dancing fundraiser for the club on November 10 at 8 p.m. in the Diamond Coast Hotel. The dancers will be holding fundraisin­g events in the coming weeks.

SOCIAL DANCE

The October social dance will be held in Skreen-Dromard community centre on Saturday, October 27, with music for dancing by Brendan Magee.

DIAMOND LADIES DAY OUT

The Diamond Ladies annual day out in aid of SHOUT will take place on Friday, November 30. Tickets cost €50 and can be got from Moya at 087 6811781 or Geraldine at 087 2585393.

There was no winner of the jackpot in the Easkey lotto draw on October 12. Numbers drawn were 3, 7, 18 and 27. €25 win- ners: Tracey O’Malley, Matt Leonard, Brian McCormick, Fred Queenan, Diane Coles. Promoter’s prize: Nellie Browne. CHRISTY CARBURY R.I.P.

The death has taken place of Christy Carbury, Gleneaskey. His remains were removed from Sweeney’s Funeral Home to the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Dromore West for Requiem Mass and burial took place in Churchill Cemetry. Sympathy is extended to his relatives and friends.

TABLE QUIZ

St Farnan’s ladies’ football club are having a table quiz in the Still Bar on Saturday, October 27 at 9 p.m. Tables of four €20.
