Winter futsal has begun

THE FAI are running a 16 week Winter Futsal Programme for Under 8 and Under 10 clubs in Sligo/Leitrim. The programme kicked off last week and is now into its fifth year.

We have five centres throughout the region where local clubs come together and play each other midweek for four consecutiv­e weeks before all the clubs are invited to attend a blitz day at IT Sligo on Sunday 11 th of November.

Any clubs not involved in the programme are also invited to

VENUE attend the blitz days.

The clubs then go back to their midweek centres for a further four weeks before returning to IT Sligo for a second blitz day on Sunday 16 th of December. The programme will run for a further eight weeks after Christmas.

U8 clubs play on Tuesday evenings and U10 clubs play on Thursday evenings.

Each centre has its own coordinato­r who looks after the fixtures and makes sure the kids are getting plenty of game time.
