COLLECTION THANKS

These funds enable us to continue to carry out work in our local communitie­s and support the numerous voluntary organisati­ons in the area. BOSTON TEA PARTY

A Boston Tea Party in aid of Rathlee National School will be held in the Ocean Sands Hotel on Friday, November 16. An auction will be held on the night and anyone who would like to donate unwanted gifts can leave them into the school.

BEA DUNPHY R.I.P.

The death has taken place of Bea Dunphy, Easkey peacefully in her home in her 102nd year. Predecease­d by her husband Joe, she is survived by her brother Peter, sister Margaret, sons Ivan and Joseph, daughters Ingrid, Louise and Martina, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchild­ren, great grandchild, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends to whom sympathy is extended. Her remains were removed from McGowan’s funeral home to St James Church for Mass of the Resurrecti­on and burial took place in Roslea Cemetry.

SAFE TALK WORKSHOP

There will be a Safe Talk Workshop held in Skreen-Dromard Community Centre on Wednesday, November 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

RAINBOW PROGRAMME

West Sligo Family resource centre is currently looking for volunteers in the area to run the Rainbow Programme. This programme supports children and young people helping them to deal with parental bereavemen­t and or separation or divorce. LECTURE

‘Sligo Field Club, exploring Tireragh, the history, archaeolog­y, geography and heritage’ a lecture will be delivered by Martin Wilson, president of Sligo Field Club in Castleconn­or Community Centre on November 2 at 8 p.m. Admission is €5 with refreshmen­ts.

STRICTLY COME DANCING

St Farnan’s GAA Club are holding a Strictly Come Dancing fundraiser for the club on November 10 at 8 p.m. in the Diamond Coast Hotel. The dancers will be holding fundraisin­g events in the coming weeks.

DIAMOND LADIES DAY OUT
