Local finalists in Food Awards

THE Food Awards Ir eland which honours the best in the business have revealed their 2018 finalists.

Included are a number of local businesses. In the cafe/ bistro of the year, Nook cafe in Collooney is in the running for the categor y among the border counties. There are 2 nominees from Sligo in the Gastro Pub of the Year categor y (Borders) with both the Drafthouse in Strandhill and Hargadons of O’Connell St nominated. The Pilot Bar in Enniscrone has also been shorlisted in the Gastro Pub of the Year categor y ( West).

In the Best Street Food shortlist, Street Cart on Teeling St has been nominated. O’Hehirs Baker y has also been shortlisted in the Retail Baker y of the Year categor y. The black-tie event will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Dublin, on Monday, November 12th.
