PHOTO EXHIBITION THANKS
The recent photo exhibition was a huge success with great crowds over the two days of the bank holiday weekend. A lot of memories, chats, stories were shared. Thanks to everyone who attended. Special thanks to the multitude of people who donated photos, helped with the assembly and disassembly of the entire set. The process of returning photos to their owners begins now. Congratulations to Achonry/Mullinabreena Enhancement group for organising another excellent community event helping breathe some life back in to the parish. No doubt there are plans afoot for the next gathering.
UPCOMING EVENTS
Coolaney-Mullinabreena GAA have upcoming events as follows: table quiz, Saturday, November 24, and the ever popular Christmas Concert on Saturday, December 22, More details later.
ORGAN DONOR AWARENESS
The Flanagan family, Coolaney recently sponsored new jerseys for the St Nathy’s Ladies Senior and under-12 teams. The jerseys bear the logo ‘Organ Donor Awareness’ and the family are very generously doing their bit for this crucial awareness campaign. Well done and lets hope it piques the interest of many an observer in the process.
CLOTHES COLLECTION
The parents’ association of Achonry National School are holding their annual Clothes Collection on Fri/Saturday, November 9/10th and Saturday, November 17, in St Nathy’s Hall. So lets start Packing those bags and pass the word on to extended Family/Neighbours and friends and lets put in a big effort this year.
What’s accepted: All clothing including Underwear/Bed linen/ Towels/Curtains/Footwear/Hand Bags/Belts/Soft Toys. NOT Accepted: Pillows/Duvets/Mats. For more information Ring Micheál – 087 6312980.
25 CARD GAME
The popular 25 card game continues every Friday in St Nathy’s Hall at 8.30 p.m. New players are always welcome.
SET DANCING
Set dancing continues in St Nathy’s Hall every Thursday at 8.30 p.m. If sufficient numbers attend, the classes will continue for the winter.
TÚS SCHEME

WALKING/RUNNING TRACK
The newly completed walking/ running track at Nace O’Dowd Park is proving a real success with many folk using it on a daily basis. It is contributing hugely to the health and well-being of our community in a real and sustainable way. The club is currently investigating means to fund the installation of lighting for the track. The club continues its appeal for fence sign sponsors at the park. Contact Ollie at 087 7981827 for details.
