NEW CD LAUNCH

Michael Gold­ing has re­leased a new six­teen track CD ‘ Back to Castle­blak­eney’ with all pro­ceeds go­ing to the char­ity Cys­tic Fi­bro­sis Gal­way Hospi­tal Project. Launch of the CD will take place in the Corner House on Sun­day, De­cem­ber 16, at 6 p.m. It is now avail­able for sale in lo­cal busi­ness premises in Bal­ly­mote, The Record Shop, Sligo, Cole­man Mu­sic Cen­tre, Gurteen. Your sup­port is much ap­pre­ci­ated.

WW1 EX­HI­BI­TION

The launch of the WW1 Ex­hi­bi­tion cen­tered on the men of Bal­ly­mote, who died dur­ing the war will take place on Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 14, at 7.30 p.m. in Bal­ly­mote Com­mu­nity Li­brary. The launch will in­clude a talk from lo­cal his­to­rian and Co Sligo WW1 ex­pert Si­mone Hickey. Light re­fresh­ments will be served.

25 CARD DRIVES

25 card drives have started on Sun­day evenings at 6 p.m. and will con­tinue till Christ­mas. Five sin­gle hands trump to board. Five euro en­try. Two euro re en­try. Fi­nals start at 8 p.m. Doddy’s Bar Novem­ber 11, Corner House Novem­ber 18, Hay­den’s Bar Novem­ber 25. De­cem­ber dates will be pub­lished later.

Re: Kil­mac­tigue Parish Defibrilllator Group. In­struc­tors are now plan­ning Train­ing dates. Those peo­ple who trained in au­tumn/win­ter 2016 are now due for Re-Train­ing, as their cer­ti­fi­ca­tion only lasts two years.
