IRELAND’S FITTEST FAMILY

Best of luck to the Carty Family, who feature in RTÉ One’s Ireland’s Fittest Family. This is a great achievemen­t for the family and a great representa­tion for Cloonacool. The Carty’s are the youngest family taking part and also the first-ever Sligo family to take part in the show. The team consists of Bill, Tara, Eoin and Liam. Best of luck.

SEEKING MUSICIANS

Cloonacool Choir is seeking a musician (s) organist, pianist or guitarist who would like to play for the choir at Sunday 10 a.m. Masses in St Michael’s Church, Cloonacool. If one or more musicians are interested, Sundays could be shared for example monthly or fortnightl­y. Our choir has been singing for 49 years and we look forward to continuing.

The choir is made up of adults and juniors. If you are interested currently playing or wishing to return to the keyboard or the strings – please contact Sonia at 087 2772557 for further details.

CARD GAME

The Cloonacool Card game takes place every Monday at 8.30 p.m. fin Cloonacool Community Centre. All welcome to attend.

Social dancing class in the Coleman Centre, Gurteen every Thursday night at 8 p.m. Learn to jive, Quick Step, Foxtrot, Slow Waltz, Old Time Waltz, and Line Dance. Enjoy a night of dancing, fun, and Exercise. Beginners, Improvers. Everyone welcome.

LADIES GROUP

The Cloonacool Ladies Monday Morning Group meet on Monday mornings from 10.15 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. We looking forward to meeting everyone again and new members are more than welcome.

MUSIC CLUB

Cloonacool Music Club takes place on Thursday at Brennan’s Bar from 10 p.m. Come along for a great night of music and singing. There will be a bus available to collect and leave home on Thursday nights for music club. Pick up between 9: 30 and 10 p.m., and then leaving Cloonacool after the food. Please ring 071 9185037 for further informatio­n and to book your seat. There will be a minimal charge for the bus.

THE SOUND OF MUSIC

A Get-Together meeting for everyone involved in the Sound of music – cast, chorus, backstage crew – will be held in St Brigid’s Hall on Wednesday, November 7, at 8 p.m. in order to distribute scripts, rehearsal schedules, performanc­e dates and membership registrati­on forms.

As this meeting will provide an opportunit­y for all involved to ‘meet and greet’ one another it is important that everybody attends.
