WHAT a weekend for the club! Strictly Come Dancing was a huge success on Saturday night and a great night was had by all. Jennifer Foy and Cormac Hallinan won the top prize as best dancing couple with Aoife Connolly and James Weir picking up the prize for top fundraiser­s. The winner of the top prize of €500 in our raffle was Shannon Howley of Enniscrone. SINCERE thanks to all who made this event possible- our dancers and sponsors, our main sponsor Blair Feeney, The Beach Bar for sponsoring the top prize in the raffle,The Flying Horse, The Still Bar and Feeney’s for hosting fundraiser­s, all who purchased ads in the programme, our choreograp­hers Ciara and Ailish Ginty, the judging panel, Diamond Coast Hotel, Connacht Print, Shane Walkin Sound and Lighting, Declan Gillespie DJ, Martin Wilson Wood turning, Rosie’s Pottery Studio, Oliver’s Menswear, Ballina Costume Hire, Treasa’s Hair Salon, Little Scissors , Niamh Flynn, photograph­er Mary Kilgannon and videograph­er Michael Clarke.Thanks to Owen Golden and Sean Kilgannon, our two MC’s who entertaine­d the crowd . AT Strictly special presentati­ons were made to James Weir from St. Farnan’s club and Easkey/ St. Farnan’s hurling to honour his winning of the Lory Meagher All Star award and Player of the Year. James was given a standing ovation from the crowd in recognitio­n of his achievemen­ts. CONGRATULA­TIONS to Fionn Connolly and Sligo under16 team on winning the Manning Cup Final on Saturday. ATTENTION now turns to our under 21 team who play Coolaney/ Mullinabre­ena in the Under 21 B championsh­ip final on Saturday at 7.30 pm in Tourlestra­ne.All support would be very welcome.

SLIGO final of Scór na nÓg will take place in Dromore West Community centre on Sunday, Nov 25.

DON’T forget that the Windmill Players are staging their latest play “Don’t tell the wife” on Fri, Sat and Sun at 8pm. Tickets are €10 and on sale locally. Please support.
