THANK YOU

All at St Cecilia’s Special School in Sligo would like to thank all involved with two fundraisers held recently in Ballymote including the local businesses who provided spot prizes and sponsorship and to all who came along to support. An emotional, fantastic day was had by all at the Wedges motorbike and car run that was held in July in honour of the late Noel Dwyer AKA’ The Wedge’.

We would like to express our gratitude to the family of Noel Dwyer and the committee who donated the proceeds of the run to the school – a massive €2,985 was lodged. Also thanks to John O’Connor and Kate Hoare, who arranged a table quiz in Doddy’s pub which raised the fabulous sum of €1,210. All funds will be used to purchase wheelchair friendly equipment for the playground at the school which will make a fabulous difference to the lives of kids at the school.
