MOTHERS’ UNION MEETING

Mary McKeon from the Simon Community will speak on the work of ‘The Simon Community’ in our area and Sligo in Cooper Memorial Hall Riverstown on Thursday, November 20, at 8 p.m. This meeting is hosted by Mother’s union everyone welcome meeting will be followed by refreshments and time to ask Mary questions.

SONGS OF PRAISE

Advent Songs of praise with Sligo Gospel Choir will take place in Taunagh parish church, Riverstown on Sunday, December 2, at 4 p.m. Refreshments afterwards in Cooper Memorial Hall.

SLIGO FOLK PARK

Sligo Folk Park Riverstown County Sligo has an immediate vacancy for a general operative. This position is for 19.5 hours per week and is available full time, subject to continuation of Pobal funding. COFFEE MORNING

Little Buddies will be holding a coffee morning and cake sale on Wednesday, December 5, in Chapel Gardens, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. All are welcome to call in and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a treat. Children are invited to take part in a colouring competition. There will be two categories, junior and senior. In each category first prize is a €20 Smyth’s voucher and second and third prize are selection boxes. Competition sheets will be available from Little Buddies and through local schools.
