FIELDS OF GOLD

Congratulations to all involved in the production of a new book entitled ‘ Fields of Gold’ edited by James Laffey. The large hard back volume details the history of the co-operative movement in the northwest right up to modern day Aurivo as well as a history of farming in the west in general. There are many references to the former great Achonry CoOp throughout the book as one of the founding societies. Our own Peadar Kivlehan, Belra and former Aurivo employee was a member of the hard working editorial committee. The book is available locally from Homeland hardware store in Achonry priced at €30.
