CHRISTMAS PARTY LUNCH

The Christmas party Lunch takes place this Thursday, December 13, at 1 p.m. in the community centre.

OWENMORE GAELS GAA

SAVE THE DATE - Our annual table quiz takes place Friday, December 21, in Connolly’ Bars. The competitio­n is set to be as competitiv­e as ever. A great night is promised. All support is appreciate­d in what is a great fundraiser for the club and a nice way to see out the year.

WE HAVE A WINNER - Congratula­tions to Barry Gilhooley, who sneaks it in the end with a strong finish. Barry will collect €250 as part of his winnings. Well done to Aidan McGoldrick who came second and Francis Tighe, who came third. They get €100 and €50 respective­ly. Thanks to everyone who entered our Sports Prediction Quiz. LOTTO – The lotto draw took place in Connolly’s Bar on Monday, November 26. The numbers drawn were 1, 2, 3 and 25.

There was no winner of the €10,000 jackpot. Congratula­tions to our match-three winners Bridget Gallagher and John Kenny, who each win €50. The next draw for our €10,000 jackpot will take place on Monday, December 10, in the Owenmore Inn. Thanks to everyone who bought tickets throughout the year and continues to support the club.

MEN’S CANCER

Marie Keating Foundation comes to Tubber’s Men’s Shed on this Wednesday, December 12, at 7.30 p.m. to increase men’s knowledge on the most common cancers that can affect them (prostate, testicular, lung, skin and bowel cancers) and info on the signs/symptons and how they can reduce their risk of these common cancers. BINGO

Bingo takes place every Friday night in Gurteen Hall at 8.30 p.m. Proceeds goes to the upkeep of the hall and the local Eastern Harps GAA Club. Big prizemoney to be won on the night.

SAVE GURTEEN PO

Gurteen ‘Save the post office’ committee are continuing their campaign to keep the post office in Gurteen. They meet weekly and everything possible is being done so well done to all concerned. All the many customers of the PO are advised to keep using all the facilities there and avail of Christmas All four One gift cards etc.
