RAUGHLY SWIM

The St Stephen’s Day Swim in Raughley has fundraised €4,000 in AID of NW Hospice and NW Parents and Friends Association (supporting people with mental disabilities). Thank you to all who supported the event.

ST PATRICK’S SCHOOL

St Patrick’s School will have an open day for new pupils in St Patrick’s School Maugherow on Monday, February 4, at 1 p.m.

COMMUNITY GAMES

We are appealing to parents of local children aged between 5-16 years of age to please support their local Community Games. New members are desperately needed on the committee to replace those stepping down in order to sustain this very important community event.

There are lots of ways in which you can help. We would particularly welcome someone with good social media networking skills and individuals to take on a co-ordination role or a coaching role for a few events.. There are also lots of available events that may appeal to some children i.e. Irish contemporary dance, project, skittles, table quiz, art and model making... there is something for everyone.

We are having a meeting on Wednesday, January 30, at 8 p.m. in Maugherow Parish Hall. Forms will be distributed very shortly through St Patrick’s School and left in Dunleaveys shop. Closing dates for the first round of events is February 9 so please return your forms ASAP to either Dunleaveys Shop/Eimear Donlon/Peter Gillespiw/Andrea Nicholson or Sheila Walsh.
