GAA CLUB AGM

The Coolaney-Mullinabre­ena AGM was held in St Nathy’s Hall on January 6.

Fr Paul Kivlehan in his chairman’s address thanked all the players, team coaches, people who helped at fundraisin­g, officers of the club and all the people who supported the club in any way over the past year.

Fr Paul also thanked all of our sponsors over the past year and in particular our main sponsor the CMD group who have supported the club very generously over the past number of years.

Fr Paul remembered all of the people who were connected to the club in any way that passed away during the past 12 months.

A special tribute was paid to Tom Waters from Aclare, who did such great work in his time working at Nace O’Dowd Park, who died suddenly in November of last year.

The club wish to thank Fr Paul, who stepped down from the chair after five successful years of great service and dedication to the club.

Coaching Officer: Francis Brennan. Children’s Officer: Caroline Coleman. County Board Delegate: John Brennan. PRO: John Marren. Insurance Officer and Assistant PRO: Shane O’Brien.

The club is also looking for volunteers to help at various tasks throughout the year. Please contact Ollie Lee, or Eugene Henry if interested.

BLOOD DONATION

There is a Blood Donation Clinic in St Brigid’s Hall, Tubbercurr­y on Thursday, February 7, from 4.30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

As always, the demand for blood continues and every possible donation is desperatel­y needed. Injured and sick people live because other people give.

Blood is life and giving some is one of the greatest gesture of love and care that most people will ever have chance to avail of.

DEFIBRILLA­TOR TRAINING

The next Defibrilla­tor will take place in February. There are a number of places left on the course. Please contact Lorraine Feely at 087 6779836 as soon as possible.

25 CARD GAME

The popular 25 card game continues every Friday in St Nathy’s Hall at 8.30 p.m. New players are always welcome.

SET DANCING

Set dancing continues in St Nathy’s Hall every Thursday at 8.30 p.m. Junior sets are from 7.45 p.m. till 8.30 p.m. and proving really popular in recent weeks. If sufficient numbers attend, the classes will continue for the winter.
