Student architect lunged at gardaí

-

A student architect who lunged across traffic at gardaí has been fined €200.

On November 18th last, gardaí on foot patrol on Grattan St viewed Milosz Cynerman of 38, Rusheen Ard, Sligo, roaring and shouting.

Asked for his name and details, the 21-year-old gave the name of ‘Adam Cadden’ from Ballisodare. He was ordered to leave the scene but then lunged across traffic towards the gardaí.

The court heard he used ‘quite abusive language’ and was arrested.

Solicitor Mark Mullaney said his client was a full time student architect who was ashamed of his behaviour.

Mr Mullaney said his client’s actions were ‘fuelled by drink’ and he has since apologised to the gardaí.

He added that his client was worried that a conviction for the matter would adversely affect his chances of future employment as an architect.

Judge Kevin Kilrane struck the matter out under the Probation Act and fined him €200.
