Men in court for separate assaults

A 33-year-old man was sent forward for trial to Sligo Circuit Court for assault causing harm.

Michael Gillespie of 24, Drumroe, Castlebaldwin was handed the Book of Evidence before Sligo District Court on Thursday.

It is alleged that on June 12 th, 2018, Gillespie assaulted Anthony Fallon at Drumroe, Cleavry, Castlebaldwin, causing him harm. He was remanded on continuing bail to appear for trial on February 12 th next.

Meanwhile, an unrelated assault causing harm charge was put back to March 14 th next for service of the Book of Evidence.

Liam Moran (35) of 8, Oak Park, Magheraboy, Sligo will be served with the Book of Evidence in relation to the alleged assault of Derek Feeley on October 30 th, 2017 at Lola Montez on JFK Parade in the town.
