Restricted Members Draw – New Launch. Coolaney United are looking for 50 individuals, groups or syndicates to donate €25 per month for 12 months. 60% of funds will be used to purchase Euromillions and lotto Tickets. 40% of funds will go towards the Community Park Development. At the end of the 12 months, all lottery winnings are divided among the members. For more details, contact Jerry O’Grady at 086 8867379. Bonus Ball: The Coolaney United Saturday night Bonus Ball Draw continues. The cost per ball is €5 and the weekly jackpot prize is €100. Bonus balls can be purchased in PK MEATS and O’Gradys shop. Thank you to all players and best of luck for the year ahead.

RAMBLING HOUSE

Rambling House takes place in the Killoran Community Centre on March 8 at 9 p.m.

COOLANEY ICA

The monthly meeting was held on Tuesday, February 5, due to wintry weather conditions the previous week. Mary Jones and Christina McCann visited from Tubbercurry Cancer Support Centre. Mary gave a very interesting talk on the good work carried out and services available at the centre. Mary and Christina were then presented with a cheque for €3,000 by Phil Wims, Coolaney president. This cheque was the proceeds of a bag pack carried out by members and friends at Dunnes Stores, Cranmore back in November. We wish to thank everyone who gave so generous- ly of their time and donations to this worthy cause. Thanks also to the management of Dunnes Stores and to Gillian McClane for her assistance.

An Open Night took place at Tubbercurry Cancer Support Centre on Wednesday, February 13. Refreshments were served and a social evening was enjoyed by all.

Craft nights will resume on Monday, February 25, at 8 p.m. in the community centre. Come along to learn knitting, crochet or embroidery and join in the fun.

Yoga classes will commence on March 11 for five nights. More details on this later.

The Federation meeting will be held at the Sligo Park Hotel on February 19, commencing with a quiz at 7.30om, with three members on each team. Winners will represent the Sligo Federation at the national finals in An Grianan. The Gempack baking competition will also be judged on the night.

Plans are now in place for the Sligo Weekend at An Grianan April 26, 27 and 28.

COMMUNITY GAMES

Model Making: Please bring your completed piece along to the community centre between 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, It will be judged along with the Art Competition. Thank you.

Art Competition will take place on Sunday, February 24, 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in Community Centre. Your art must be based on any Community Games event. Paper will be supplied but please bring your own pencils/colours/paints etc.

Visual Aids will not be permitted i.e. photos, transfers, mobile phones and devices etc. You can also register on the day for the event. Best of luck and enjoy.

GAA NEWS

Blue Kidz Training: Training has started back on Saturday mornings at the Teeling Centre Collooney. All kids must be registered online. €10 per child. U6s: 9 a.m. to 9.35 a.m. under-eights: 9.35 a.m. to 10.15 a.m., under-10s: 10.15.11 a.m. New parents and children are very welcome to come along and get involved in their local GAA Club.

Club lotto: The 2019 Coolaney-Mullinabreena Club Supporter’s lotto was recently launched. The new rebranded offering remains our main club fundraiser for the year. We appeal to all club members, supporters, senior players, coaches, sponsors and families to renew their subscriptions.

We also make a fresh appeal to recruit many new subscribers this year and welcome the support of anyone with club connections who may wish to contribute..

HATHA YOGA

Adults Hatha Yoga classes started again in Coolaney Community Centre end of January on Wednesday the 23rd at 7 a.m. and Thursdays 24th at 7 p.m. Classes will run for at least eight weeks. Adults €10 drop in or six classes for €50.

WATER BOIL NOTICE

All customers must boil their water before drinking. A map of the Lough Talt and Ogham schemes, detailing the areas affected, is available on water.ie and sligococo.ie.
