TABLE QUIZ THANKS

Thank you to everyone that attended and donated kindly to the table quiz that took place in Brennan’s Lounge Cloonacool, on February 9 Up to €1,400 was raised and all proceeds are going to Cloonacool Men’s Shed and Community Café.

MEN’S SHED

A Cloonacool branch is currently being set up. There will be an informatio­n evening on Tuesday, February 19, at 8 p.m. at the Community Park. New members are welcome. For more informatio­n. Further details available from Michael Armstrong 086 8185393.

COMMUNITY CAFÉ

Opening is scheduled for Sunday, March 10, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The current plan is to open on Saturday and Sunday mornings. This will require volunteers. Training will be provided and a rota system will be put in place. If you are interested in volunteeri­ng, please contact Attracta at 086 3058844.

SPRING CLEAN

The Cloonacool Spring Clean will take place on Saturday, March 9, More details to follow.

5K ROAD RACE

CLOONACOOL PLAYERS

Cloonacool Players production this year is ‘I do not like thee Dr Fell’ a dark comedy written by playwright Bernard Farrell. This play will be performed in St Nathy’s Hall Mullinabre­ena on Friday night, February 22, and then on to the Arts Centre in Ballina on Thursday night, February 28, for a special needs charity event. It will also play in St Brigid’s Hall Tubbercurr­y on Monday, March 4, at the Western Drama Festival.
