SÉAMUS WINS
Former Glencar/Manorhamilton GAA Club president, Séamus Devaney was a popular recent winner of the North Leitrim Men’s Group progressive ‘25’ card drive on eight games when the hard fought contest concluded in the Bee Park Community Centre.
Meantime the well liked Séamus was a member of the Glencar team that played Fenagh in the 1967 Leitrim junior football championship final, which went to a replay. When the sides met first in the final, some 52 years ago this year in the Bee Park, it ended in a draw.
But when the replay took place in Avantcard Páirc Seán MacDiarmada, Fenagh was victorious. Tom McGuire was runner-up to Séamus in the progressive ‘25’ card drive.
In the progressive ‘25’s’ raffle event Pat Lunney was a double winner when he claimed both the first and third prizes while Francie Curneen was the raffle’s runner-up prize winner. Meantime Pauric McGowan won the progressive ‘25’s’ table prize.
When next Sunday night’s (February 24) North Leitrim Men’s Group progressive ‘ 25s’ card drive takes place in the Bee Park Community Centre at 9 p.m. the jackpot prize on offer will €160. All are welcome as usual.

The well liked Derville Gilmartin, who was Killasnett Costcutters store manager on New Line for the past five years, has moved on to pastures new and is wished all the best.

BALLINTOGHER PLAY
Sam Cree’s comedy ‘Don’t Tell the Wife’ will be staged in Ballintogher Community Centre on Friday night, March 1, and on Saturday night, March 2, at 8 p.m. each night.

Bingo continues on Monday (s), in the function room of the Blue Devon, Dromahair at 9 p.m. For those of you who are not regulars, it is a great social occasion, as well a fun opportunity to experience the thrill and frustration of getting/not getting the numbers you need. All lines €30, except games 5 and 10, which are €50, all full houses €100 and last game €200. So why not come along and support your local bingo. Who knows you might be lucky.
